Mr. Shiv Kumar - CMD of the Kumar Group of Industries who originally belongs to the renowned freedom fighters' family of Hapur (Dist. Ghaziabad) had established the group with the inception of Rice Milling Industry at Gadarpur in the year 1969 at the age of 18.

His Clarity of vision, dedication, missionary zeal for implementation and management, monitoring & evaluation and above all the positive & enthusiastic approach make him different from the other industrialists. Endowed with rare qualities of head and heart he makes his team move forward enthusiastically & successfully. He is a friend and guide for his staff besides being a man of principles having values for honesty, belief for quality and his approach for continued relations.  These virtues have made him the pioneer Industrialist of Uttarakhand. He has been honored with "Young Entrepreneur Award" and "Largest Exporter Award" a number of times by the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh & Uttarakhand.

Keeping in view of his contribution in Socio Economic Development of the Uttrakhand State, hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Shri N. D. Tiwariji awarded him "Udyog Ratna" the highest State award for the year 2004-2005.
